Vacations!

My plan for these vacations is to travel to the U.S, (Maryland, and New York), where me and my mom will both visit my aunt and cousin, and will also get fully vaccinated. We decided this, as the number of infections are higher here in PerĂº, not only that but many of my friends are travelling to United States as well and we might get a chance to safely see each other after quite a long time. Im really looking forward to this winter ( in PerĂº) but (Summer in Unites states) vacations.

Vacacioooones

In this mid year semester we will have vacations and my and my family are planning to go to New York and Miami. We will go there to visit my grandma and my uncle which is making a house there because of Peru's new presidential election.

Vacation plans

My plans for vacations are to be with my family and spend a good time with them.  I think I am going to have a good time. I am also going to play with my friends maybe video games.  I am really looking forward to it because I really want to take a break from waking up early.

Vacations-ValentinaG

It's getting closer to vacations every single day by now!! I am so happy and prepared for the upcoming vacations and couldn't be more exited about them. I feel like I have so many things planned for this summer. I would like to go travel somewhere else, since in Peru there will be no sun, so that means no sea or no beach. I would like to go somewhere sunny and spend every day near the beach with my friends or family!!! My plans are to probably travel to a sunny place and try to enjoy every second of it!! If me and my family end up not traveling, I will stay in Peru and hangout with my friends. Anyways, both options would be so fun!!

Vacation plans

During summer vacations, I will mostly stay in Lima, spend time with my friends and family, and just follow my everyday routine. I will also continue with my online french and dance classes. I will also go to Miami to get vaccinated like for a week or two and then go back for my birthday in August. This vacations aren't as exiting as most years but I think I will spend them joyfully.

What I will do in the vacation

I am not sure really what we will do on vacation. I think we are going to celebrate a lot since my mom's birthday is on June 30, my birthday is on July 1, and my little sister's birthday is on July 5.  Maybe we are going to Miraflores, go to a club in Chosica, and eat in some new restaurants. Some of my favorites and most common restaurants we go to are  Don Guri and Chalet Belga. I also think we are going to go on a road trip from Lima to Tacna and from lima you fall by car or van.  So I think I am going to have a very fun vacations

The Most Worrying Vacations (Reynaldo Llosa)

Right now I am in Miami and I am going to stay here for like a week or two after the school semester for vacations. I think that this is going one of the most stressful vacations yet, at least for me, because of the elections. I am really worried because castillo is close to winning the elections, I hope he doesn't, but you never know. I have been praying a lot for Keiko to win, and I hope she wins but still. Anyway, after being in Miami I think I am going to go to Lima, Peru to stay there for the rest of the vacations. I a good note, I got fully vaccinated with the pfizer vaccine so that is great.

VACA-TION!!!!!

I am really excited about vaca-tions because we are going to Spain and we are going to the beach for summer, I'm also going to Tenerife for a week which I never went to and I'm really excited

Asia/ vacation

Going on vacation to Asia is very excited to do and see what different cultures there are all around the world. one roadblock that is very common for many people to have is getting the money to be able to go there due to the high prices to travel or the overall costs of the experience. one fun thing to do in Asia is to try the native foods that are naturally made and are very good to eat all the different flavors bursting in your mouth all at once. I hope to revisit all parts of Asia again after this quarantine passes. Evan.

HOLIDAYS!!!!

For the holidays my family and I are staying here in Miami Florida and we plan on doing many fun things such as going to the beach, swimming, water parks and more. My family and I already started are vacation about a week ago and we stayed in Orlando florida, My family and cousins had a sleepover at my cousin Diegos house which meant we would not be able to sleep proproply untill 3 in the morning because my cousin Diego keeps playing Snapchat videos and YouTube on high volume. My cousins house is also a farm so we got to ride on his 2 horses and see all his chickens which was fun,  the next day we went to Aquatic (a water park) we spen the whole day there swimming. My cousins and I had a lot of near death experiences, well maybe I'm over reacting but it felt like we were going to die on those tall waterslides.

vacations

i am going to europe to the beach, to italy, france and spain. Im going with 2 friends in a boat and im really happyyyyy

vacations

On this vacation, I'm going to Miami to relax, change things, and get the vaccine. There have some plans with some friends when we are fully vaccinated. I hope to have fun.

Vacation

I'm going to Madrid, Spain for a week and after I'm going to Sevilla, Spain for another week or two, then I'm going to Asturias, Spain, and after that, I will be going to Comporta, Portugal.

What I will do for my Vacation

For my vacation instead of going on some magical trip to the Bahamas or to Tokyo or something like that, I'm moving to Virginia, forever. Although I am going to my grandparents house in Texas so that will be fun. But yeah, I'm leaving Lima permanently, it's been fun, but I got to go.

vacation

I'm not quite sure where but for vacation I am going to a hotel by the amazon where my family and I will climb a 50 metre treehouse and have a picnic on the top. We will also climb down a rock wall and go to a big waterfall. Another place we're going is to a resort on a beach with a pool. I am very excited and although I like science class a lot, I am super excited for summer.

Travel

My plan for the break is to travel to Canada. We always go to Canada at the end of the school year because it is a very relaxing place to go to and also, we have cousins living there so we visit them. Also, I am going there to get the vaccine so I am very excited to go.

vacations

on this vacations, my family is planning on traveling to Miami the plan there is to get me and my brother vaccinated then maybe il go see a couple of friends and go to the beach or pool with my family in the end we are going to spend a couple of months there so there will be a lot to do apart from this.

Holiday

For the holidays i'm going to pass them in the United States and i'm staying there for all July and a few days in August.

Mid year vacations

On this vacation, my family is planning to travel to Miami, and I have planned to see a couple friends there once they are all vaccinated. Fortunately, most of them already have their first dose. I have not planned to do anything else but I'm sure just being there with friends will be fun.  I hope to have fun and somewhat normal vacations after so long.

Moving Country

Moving Country - Korea I only have my winter break in less than a month this time. It's because if I move back to Korea there would be so many things to do like moving into my house and also since Korean school starts somewhat in August I would have to catch up with most of the things that happen in the school that I'm going to go. I think this break would be crazy and mind-blowing. +I'm gonna eat a lot yay

My Vacation Plans (Nicole Skarstein)

In my summer vacation, I'm going with my brother to the US so that both of us can get fully vaccinated. After we will go to Norway to see our family which we haven't seen in over 2 years. We still don't really know 100% if we are going to Norway since my mom isn't from there and they have very strict rules due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Winter Break Plans

Image
For my winter break me and my family are going to spend the whole month in Japan. We plan to go there on June 30th and come back around the beginning of August. I'm excited to see my family, friends and also to eat good food. We also plan to travel inside Japan to a beach. But because the number of infections in Peru is very high, we need to do a 3-day quarantine in a specific place that the country decided. During those 3 days, we can't get of our rooms at all and after that, we can go back to our home and do another 14-day quarantine.

My vacation plans

When I am done with school I will just spend the time with my doggies and maybe some cousins. Then July 10 is my brother's birthday and we will celebrate it in Lima. After a few days, I will go to the U.S with my mom and brothers to my cousin's house. Then I guess we will just play around and I will enjoy the rest of the break. Sadly I will be back in Lima by the beginning of classes.

Plans for the Summer Break

Image
What are my Holiday Plans:- Travel: I do not know yet if I will be traveling or not because of the pandemic. It has been a year since I have gone somewhere outside of Peru. Of course, health always comes first, but if the restriction calms down a bit, I will definitely travel to India and visit my grandparents, and my cousins. Moving Countries: These elections in Peru have really been scary because of the ongoing conspiracies that the presidents might change Peru's economy, but we have not decided yet whether we are going to move countries.

Holiday plans - Felipe

I will travel to New York this holiday, I am really excited because it will be my first time going there. I am looking forward to doing many things there. I am also happy because I will take the two-dose of the covid vaccine. I plan on visiting many touring attractions such as the statue of liberty and central park and more.

Orlando

I'm going to Orlando to get my second vaccine and because it's very fun and I haven't gone since I was 6 years old, so it will be fun to see how much has changed. I hope to have fun going to places like Universal Studios and Magic kingdom but that will be after my entire family has taken their second shot. I'm very happy that my family and I will finally be safe from Covid-19, but we will still be careful because the vaccine doesn't affect people right away.

Luca's Vacation Plans

This vacation will be a very intense one, I am moving back to Brazil at the end of the month. I have moved quite a bit so I know about all the stress that revolves around it. I also know that it will also be hard for everybody because we also want to say goodbyes to our friends but due to covid it will be really hard. After moving to Brazil we plan to spend the vacation in our country house 80km outside of Sao Paulo.

My summer plans

Im planning to spend summer in Miami. Im already here, I traveled yesterday. Im going back to Peru at the end of July so i'm gonna spend lots of time in Miami. My parents chose to come since its summer in the US and winter in Peru. I plan on seeing friends, shopping, getting the vaccine and going to the beach. I am excited and looking forward to this summer break since I need a break from school, homework and stress.

Vacation plans

This holiday I am going to California in us. I am traveling on Thursday( Jun 18 ) First of all when I get to California I am going to a wave pool called the surf ranch. There is going to be a surfing world cup and I am going to watch it live. Then after that, I am going to surf the wave pool with my brother Lorenzo. After the surf ranch, I will be some time in Los angles and in the hungtition beach. Then I am going to Lake Tahoe to do wake surf and wakeboard this lake is located in the mountains of California. After an exhausting and hard school year, I am happy to take a break from school and have as much fun as possible.

Mr. J's Holiday Plans: A Vaccine and Paradise

On the last day of school, June 25th, our family is flying to Miami.  This is the first flight that we will have taken since our flight to Mancora last December and our first international flight since July of 2020. I think in a way, this pandemic has forced us to work from home and I wonder if I've become an 'agorphobic' meaning a person who is afraid to go outside.  The fear is not without merit. With Peru being one of the highest transmission rates in South America during the pandemic, people were getting sick at a high rate. Every time we went outside, I felt like we were playing a game of Russian Roulette and risking getting sick.  When we get on the plane next Friday (is it that soon?) we'll be double masked and have face shields to boot. We'll land in Miami after a 6 hour glide and then try to get the 1 shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine in the airport before flying to Cancun, Mexico where we'll spend the month of July with some sun, sand and good Mexican ...

Miami

for the summer break i am just going to Miami and maybe to a beach close to Miami called Marco Island. I will also be doing a lot of competitions, and that is mostly it.

Deforestation in Rodania Brazil

Deforestation in Brazil What surprised me the most about deforestation in Brazil was that before it was only rainforests and very few houses but then there was a boom at the start of the 1990s where people really started to move there and they began cutting down the trees to make space for their houses.

30 time lap, Columbian Glacier Retreat

I noticed that the glacier was slowly disappearing. I infer the glacier is melting really fast because of global warming since it is a recurring problem all throughout the world. I also noticed that the ice and snow was over, what it seems to be, a tundra. I think that because in a presentation about tundra, the students said that it was created in between the grasslands and nearly ice/snow.

Colombia Glacier Retreat

While using Google earth timelapse I was able to watch how the Colombia Glacier changed over time and over the course of the years. I observed the glacier rapidly start getting smaller and smaller, which I'm inferring is because of climate change. I can also see how it had a large amount of ice loss, and it looks like it has lost about half of the thickness it used to have.

Glacier retreat

Glacier retreat, this glacier during time has no ice, this happens due to the change of wethear that human makes, from factories cars etc. The ice goes out really fast in the video but its really 30 years of ice melting due to weather effects.

Time laps over 30 years

Over the 30 years in the time-laps, the world changed a lot but I mostly noted a lot of deforestation. Many parts of the world lost a lot of green and gained a lot of brown dirt. This happened because the people cut many trees for money lost many forests in the process. Brazil is a very good example of this, in the east part of brazil many trees were cut and lost. You can clearly see all the trees disappearing rapidly over the years. Something else I notice on the other side of the world is that the ice is melting at a rapid pace because of global warming and the many issues it has brought up. I think the people of the world should try to start caring about their planet more and stop destroying it.

Enviromental changes in Alberta, Canada due to mining

In 1984, in Alberta, Canada there was a mining place. In the past 36 years, the place has abundantly grown. Of being a medium-sized place, it is now large and contaminated. Before, you could see a lot more vegetation than now. Now you mostly see only soil, dirt, and holes. This amused me because just in 36 years, the place fully changed and damaged the environment.

Coastal Expansion in Dubai

I thought it was really cool to see the timelapse of the coastal expansion in Dubai, and what or how long it took to build and finish that project. although it was a cool project I wonder how much people were needed to actually build and finish the coastal expansion or the labor costs. I also wonder what the carbon emissions where to build this.

Time Lapse

The timelapse during 30 years in Alberta, Canada has been so amazing to watch. We could experience how much has changed over time like less water in lakes, things being gone from their spots, land being greener, etc.

Time lapse over 30 years

Something that I noticed looking at the changes in Alaska was kind of crazy. First I noticed that the snow from the mountains disappeared when the climate changed. But that is kind of obvious since it melts but you might think that after that in winter the snow ould come back but it didn't which is what surprises me.

What I noticed overtime.

I noticed that the land changed in different ways, in lakes there was less water than usual the places were more dry, I think that this is impacting the earth in negative ways.

Mining in Alberta,Canada

I could see how mining grew through the years. As mining grew other things like houses and other things started growing. This caused damage to the environment but created wealth for the community and for the economy. I also can connect this when you find something of value and pass the word of how much money you will win if you invest and maybe some company decided to invest and the mine grew and grew. A question I have is what minerals did the mine have, maybe they had really important minerals that could be sold at a large price and that is why it grew so much during the years. I think the mine depending on what it has and its value will increase or decrease.

Google Earth Timelaps

On google Earth Timelaps I saw how over the course of 30 years from the start of 1984 - 2020 the Landscape of Alberta Canada has changed alot. On the timelaps from the start of the years 1985- 2020 the land around the rivers and city go tmore green and lush but also people started building towns around the rivers as the rivers started changing shape. I think this is verry interesting because usually you would think that land and rivers change over a long period of time but based on looking at this timelaps over the 30 years it shows that the land and bodies of water change a lot quicker.

What I noticed overtime

Something that I noticed looking at the changes in Alaska were kind of crazy. First of all I noticed that the mountains with all of the snow were completely gone(The snow I mean). And you might say well duh, that's what happens, snow melts, but the thing is snow comes back, the snow on the mountain didn't. I also noticed how much the color had completely changed as well, it went from a dark pretty green, to a dull dead gray. but that's all I noticed, what about you?

mining in Alberta, Canada

Image
I was focusing on this area and you could see all of the green spaces just became brown because they were mining and it was quite surprising because literally that place at the start it was all green but in 2020 it just had holes everywhere and it was all brown making it look weird                                          2020

Drying of the Aral Sea

The drying of the Aral Sea was pretty shocking to me. It was a very full sea in 1984 but if you click straight to 2020, the drying is insane. It stayed about the same with a bit of shrinking in the 80s-early 90s but in the late 90s to early 2000s It dries up super quickly. I'm guessing the reason was climate change because that seems to be the source of most problems today. It was very drastic but especially the change between 2005 and 2008, It is awful but intriguing to see how much seas can change over just a couple years.

Timelapse of the Coastal Expansion in Dubai, UAE

Describe the changes that have happened to this environment over time From the Timelapse of the coastal expansion in Dubai which started around 2002, we can see that the construction of the Palm Islands has had a clear and significant impact on the surrounding environment: 1. The construction of the various islands off the coast of Dubai has resulted in changes in area wildlife, coastal erosion and alongshore sediment transport, and wave patterns.  2. Sediment changes due to construction has negatively imapcted local marine flora and fauna and reduced the amount of sunlight on the coastal vegetation. 3. These sediments have increased the local population and have given place to multiple luxury hotels which have also left the country unable to provide vegetation support outside the urban city, making the country look extremely dry from the satellite view. 4. The ocean pollution resulted because of urbanization near the coast has also impacted marine life.  5. Compared to...

Coastal Expansion In Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Image
As many of us know,  Dubai is a very rich city. It has one of the highest gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in the world, having its ports become one of the main locations for industrial docking. So, due to its large marine influence over time, land expansion in its coast has been developed, with billions of dollars invested for two immense palm-shaped islands along with the newest construction of a world map.  Due to the immediate success of the first palm island, Dubai has constructed a couple more of these sand-based locations, although by simply observing at the timelapse and map, you can tell that almost all of the other islands have not been occupied. From a logical standpoint, this makes sense. First of all, it has become un-practical for the potential buyers, due to how far away these are from the coastline- apart from this lack of vision by the developers,  purchasing territory in these lands is not cheap,-most of the properties there being owned by billion...

Urban growth in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

I observed the urban growth in las Vegas and noticed how did urbanization grow. I also noticed environmental change in the lake or river at the side of the urbanization was reducing throughout the years due to human interactions, buildings, houses etc. We can see this urbanization expanding and becoming bigger throughout time. I infer that the reduction of water has to do with human interaction with the earth. We can clearly see how much humans impact the environment with these time lapses. At first this land was a desert but with time it became a civilization where humans live and expand. It only showed up until 2020 but we can infer that this civilization will keep increasing and it will be a home to more and more people everyday.

The mining in Alberta canada

In google timelapse, we got to watch how different ecosystems changed through time. The mining in Alberta changed the ecosystem drastically. First of all, in 1984 the mines in Alberta were extremely small the impact on the ecosystem was minimally damaged but as time passed the mines extended and started to have a noticeable impact on the ecosystem. In google timelapse, I could see how fast the mine expanded when doing that I noticed that in the most recent years the mine expanded greatly and at a much faster rate. In addition to that, I predict that in the following years according to the pattern the mine will extend in much higher amounts and probably make the ecosystem collapse.  Finally, a change that I noticed in this ecosystem was that In 1984 the ecosystem had a lot of green areas, and in 2020 those areas where noticeably decreased.

Meandering rivers - Iquitos, Peru

Image
Meandering rivers Iquitos, Peru In the time timelapse I saw that the environment changed. I'm not sure if this is a sidewalk or a lake. But I think it's more like a lake.  In 1984 it was split in two, but as time passed I saw that it was getting closer and closer naturally.                                1984                                                                                  2020

Meandering rivers Iquitos Peru

The biggest changes I saw in google's timelapse during the last 30 years are the trees surrounding the river. In some years you can see that there is a lot of green and can barely see the brown floor, but in other years like 1997, you can see a lot of the brown floor and not as many trees as before. Even though a lot of cut trees there are also some years after 1997 like the year 2000 where there are a lot of trees. This is happening because of deforestation and a lot of people cutting the trees. This is a problem that needs to be solved. This can be solved by every time someone cuts one tree you need to plant two more like people did in Kenya.

Deforestation in madagascar?

The biggest threat to a rainforest has always been deforestation and over the previous years, the problem has been getting bigger and bigger. In Madagascar, in 1984 we can see a large rainforest and as the years progress, we see the forest getting smaller and smaller. If you zoom in near Toliara and Bezaha you can clearly see how the places where vast rainforests were have been getting smaller. From 1989 to the 1990s we can see a huge chunk of the forest was cut down which leads us to the question of What is the cause for deforestation

Antarctica

Antarctica changed a lot like its big ice sheets. In 2009 the ice sheet was still pretty fine. Now the ice sheet has shrunk a ton, becoming from a big platform of ice to a small flat ice platform. Every year the ice platform would shrink until it became what it's today.

Meandering Rivers - Iquitos, Peru

Image
|1984 Something that changed over time is that the shape of the river changed. Before, there was one river, and it split into two rivers and went back again. But over time, the thinner river eventually joined up with the thicker river and became one. Since this is a natural thing, I don't think we need to change anything to prevent this. But maybe there might be problems for the people living there. Because the river joined together, people who took fishes to eat in the thinner river would have to travel a longer distance to get food.                                                                              | 2020

The urbanization of Lima

Most of Lima was a desert and it still is but nowadays people live in giant cities resting upon the sand. It amazed me at first that there was so much desert but when I looked a little closer I saw that around the 2000s the cities started to expand thousands of kilometers in every direction. In 1984 I saw nothing but desert and a few houses bundled together in a very small town but after 37 years it grew around 20 times the original size.

city

It cool how city can grow very fast  btw I would write more but I don't want to

The Drying of the Aral sea

The entire aral sea has gone through a lot of changes in the past century, it had a lot of water 30 years ago and now is very small and tiny.
